Beware of unbiblical ideas!

Beware of false teaching! On page 124, Ortberg says, "She had to forgive herself, for the bitterness and the darkness and the limitations and the choices that she wished she could have back. And, in a strange way, she had to do something like forgive God, for not answering honest prayer, and for not protecting Rachel." To say that God needs forgiveness is to say that God is capable of doing wrong. We have not power to forgive ourselves, that comes only through Christ's completed work on the cross.
