This book did not disappoint. But above that

I bought this book because a friend of mine wrote a chapter (Hi, Jen!!). It really exceeded my expectations. The tone of the book was authentic and allowed for vulnerability. I appreciated the mixture of scholarly insight and personal stories from the authors. I am new to the Methodist church and hoped to gain more insight into the culture and belief systems. This book did not disappoint. But above that, it taught me that my personal story impacts the greater Church. This book encouraged and pushed to become a more whole Disciple.
