An effective way to counter the effects of stress and anxiety

I had tried meditation before to no avail. I was having trouble with anxiety on a daily basis, and even simple tasks seemed hard to accomplish, I went to a therapist and tried hypnosis, and guess what: I couldn’t be hypnotized either. It was a few years ago and I simply thought I was too grounded on mundane things to allow myself to reach a deep, relaxed state. But I was wrong.
I needed something quick and doable, something that wouldn’t require too much of my time. If I were to spend 2 hours meditating every day I would start thinking about tasks that I hadn’t finished yet, thus becoming even more anxious.
When I started reading Sebastian Dacków’s One-Minute Meditation On Four Words, I immediately tried his technique. I closed my eyes, lied down on the bed and thought about the four words while breathing slowly. To my surprise I fell asleep! I couldn’t believe it. Hours later I resumed reading and the book proved to much more than I had expected, there is a twelve-day meditation program, and Sebastian also explains how he developed his meditation method.
Another thing that I liked was the flexibility. I could follow the instructions as general guidelines, but adapt the words to any order I wanted, and add my own constructions to the meditation. I felt this was very liberating, since it relieved me from feeling guilty for not being able to follow the steps all the time like a prescription.
Every time I try the 4-words meditation I feel like it is becoming more and more immersive and relaxing. It’s a part of my sleeping routine now.
I was a little disappointed with the end, though. I think the author could’ve explained the origins of the meditation a little more. But it’s nothing I can’t fix by searching myself for the references he gave.
To sum up, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, effective and uncomplicated meditation routine.

A Great Guide To Meditation That Is Both Informative and Fun.

"One Minute Meditation" is a fun and easy to read guide to using meditation to improve your life. There are no long mantras to memorize or expensive accessories to buy. There are only 4 mantras, each three lines long. They can be aid individually, in combination with each other, or all together to make one longer mantra. These mantras can be used at anytime and do not require warm ups or specific environmental surroundings. You can use them while relaxing, while waiting for an appointment, or even stuck in traffic. Notice, while STUCK in traffic, not while driving. My personal favorite is the mantra of light. I use it more than the others. I simply close my eyes and repeat the mantra and picture myself transforming into and being made of pure light. It is relaxing and invigorating at the same time. It lifts my spirits and unlocks my creative juices. I will say it as I lay in bed as I drift off to sleep and I have a deep sleep filled with wonderful dreams. This is one of the best books I have read on the subject of meditation and I recommend it highly.

Four Words...new life

I am in search for something more. I have a great career, supportive spouse, wonderful children, a beautiful home… but I often feel like something is missing… as if there is more for me to give and to do. On occasion, I am down in the dumps... for no apparent reason. The One-Minute Meditation on Four Words is what I needed to transform my thinking and to put life into perspective. I have read a couple other books on meditation, but I enjoy the author’s simple approach to finding peace within and restoring calm in one’s life… with just four power words, in just one minute a day! This book reminded me to connect with my source and who I am without feeling ashamed or guilty. Although it is a short read, this book is meant to be used as a daily guide towards a fulfilling life. The more the principles are applied, the more progress you will have. I highly recommend this book.
