Truly helpful and well written

As I've recently learned about spiritual abuse and what it looks like, I have read many different pieces of information on it trying to understand it. However, this was the book/article I kept coming back to as a reference. I would encourage anyone involved in a church to read through this and be aware of the signs. I did not realize what I had been experiencing in my church was an abusive environment and I have been going to church for the last 15 years! This is definitely worth reading. Thank you to the author for all for your hard work in writing this piece and helping those who've been hurt by the church in this way to find freedom again through the love and grace of our God.

I totally get what you are saying! Thank you for making people aware. My world crashed a couple months ago. I thought my life was over but God is bigger. You sharing helps me understand so so much more!! If it werent for my love for God, i would want nothing to do with christianity or christians. No New Insights

Very quick read. This is an attempt to tie in some points about spiritual abuse (taught in other books) to what happened at Mars Hill. There are some typos and formatting errors. Not really worth the $2.99 to purchase, but you may read for free with Kindle Unlimited, which I did. There really aren't any new insights here if you have read the main books available on spiritual abuse.
