Jeff Eggers has over 40 years of ministry experience, including 10 on staff at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. Connect to the Father's heart for His church

This book has transformed my understanding of prophets and prophecy ministry in church. Jeff outlines from a biblical perspective how God intends the prophetic to be used to edify, encourage, and comfort the church based on I Cor. 14:3. I also serve on a weekly prophetic ministry team that Jeff leads and his real-world application is consistent with the message of his book. Anyone who wants to grow in the prophetic will benefit from reading this book. But be aware... prophetic ministry is not for those who are seeking a platform or personal recognition. If that's your intent, this book isn't for you. According to the concepts put forth in this book, anyone seeking to exercise this gift must first develop an accurate connection to the Father's heart through time spent with Him in prayer, meditating on God's word, and learning to hear God's voice. If you are seeking to cultivate intimacy with God through prophecy, this book will help you do just that.

Practical Training for Cultivating a Prophetic Spirit

Jeff Eggers presents a progressive plan for developing the basic principles of a prophetic heart and ministry
The book is divided into four sections. Section One defines the gift of prophecy, its simplicity, and the awe and wonder of the prophetic word. Section Two introduces foundational basics on how to cultivate a prophetic spirit and how to prophecy. Section Three explores “the gift of prophecy” from the perspective of building the church with a servant’s heart using the teachings of 1 Corinthians, chapters 12, 13, and 14 as for the key points in his instruction. Section Four addresses the pastor’s role in leading a prophetic people in a five-fold ministry; while developing a prophetic culture.
“Prophetic Like Jesus – Releasing God’s Heart to Your World” is more than a book for casual reading. The pages are filled with Biblical principles, Scriptural reference, and practical pointers for allowing the Lord to work out His Word in and through His followers. The “Getting Plugged In” questions and exercises are readily adaptable for interactive small groups, Bible study classes, or for individual study, contemplation application, and implementation.
This is a book for every Christian who is “thirsting” for a deeper revelation of the heart of God; desirous of growing into a mature usage of their prophetic gifting.

The grammar and punctuation is very bad but I do understand the intent of the book

In this book, I assume there was no editing. The grammar and punctuation is very bad but I do understand the intent of the book. The price on this book was not worth the cost. The presentation of the book is not professional nor demonstrate excellence in the kingdom of God. It definitely is seen as a school project.. I will not encourage anyone to buy this book, unless the price goes down.
