In a simpler world

In a simpler world, true love’s path remains just as complicated. In one of the oldest Amish communities two young people, Annie Glick and Paul Stoltzfus, are in love. Abigail Fisher weaves a compelling tale of love, conflict and an appreciation for life. For fans of Ann Of Green Gables (published 1908) and period pieces that feature life in a simpler time the Ann and Paul stories promise to be a welcome break from the crass and often vulgar fiction of contemporary romance. Poignant moments arise from events and things that contemporary culture tends to trivialize. Abigail Fisher demonstrates that a talented author can, with a more innocent world, deliver more story, meaning and context when exploring love and the lives of two young people. This is the perfect book for true romance fans and an appropriate book for younger readers as well.

A Great Read!

I enjoyed reading Amish Romance: Lilies of the Field (Annie & Paul Series--Book 1), all about Annie Glick a young women in her late twenties & Paul Stoltzfus her Amish beau. She's waited a long time, but she finally fell in love with Paul, and she can't wait until he gets back from Ohio so they can finalize their plans for the future. While Paul was in Ohio helping his uncle, get better and taking care of his farm he ran into an old friend Ruth Miller. She was married and had five little ones, but recently her husband died and her family was struggling to keep the farm. The author wrote amazing story filled with love and heartache and feeling of responsibility, and characters that bring the story to life. One of the really neat things about wholesome stories told about the Amish is the very fact that they lead a plain and simply life. With that said, the choices they make often lead to extreme decisions that leave the English somewhat stunned! Read this story it will make you laugh, cry, sigh and shake your head. Fall in love with Annie & Paul for different reasons. I can't wait for the next book in this fantastic series.

Nothing is more satisfying than taking a chance on part 1 of a series you know nothing about and having it pay off in spades. Read this cover to cover and only stopped in the middle to make sure 2 and 3 were already out. Heading over to grab those now right after posting—I can’t stop reading now. Get them & thank me later.
