This book came to me at a pretty much disasterous time in my life

This book came to me at a pretty much disasterous time in my life, it was a gift in many ways. I had lost my job when stress was absolutely more than I could bear, caring for my son with two incurable illnesses, and he had just beaten cancer, moneywise we were destitute so buying the book was impossible, but just hearing about it I was aching to read it. My soul was starving for a reunion with comforting truths I knew were there, but life was so difficult at the moment, I just felt empty. I actually read this all in one sitting, the descriptive word pictures immerse you into the story of her time away from this realm, the colors the textures, the beauty, I could not put it down, then I re-read it, then I carried it in my backpack and took it out for times I really needed comfort. Reading this helped me find a renewed strength, and purpose. I even wrote her and told her what it had meant to me. The words on these pages are so much more than words, they are the innermost messages from the her soul to ours, straight from the light itself, there is no doubt. I highly recommend While I was out, Christmas is coming, and it would make wonderful gifts, I'm so grateful someone gifted it to me. I just might change another life.

Dierdre Dewitt Maltby's near-death experience does not conform to the norm, possibly because it occurs while she is in a coma. The author also shares experiences following her coma which are as enlightening and astounding as those during her coma. She beautifully describes all that happens to her in these alternate realms and shares from her heart the great LOVE that she encountered. Thank you, Dierdre, for giving us this touching account of so much we cannot see. When you said your heart burst open and your soul touched God, I started sobbing because it reminded me of my experience. My heart was wide open the rest of the day. Reading this book transports us back there.

While I was out is such a captivating book full of LOVE. Mrs. Deirdre's experience is truly beautiful and inspiring. The insights she came back with are life changing. One of the biggest lessons I got from reading this book, is just how loved we ALL are and that love is always with us. Open your heart and soul and let God's love flow. Thank you Deirdre for sharing this amazing experience and for being full of love. I look forward to re-reading the many wonderful lessons I came away with. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is searching from their heart. Much love to all!
