Quantum Economics Proves Profit Motive and Social Good Are Intertwined

Adam Smith – the father of capitalism – would be very happy right now if he were able to read the intriguing and revolutionary new book by Dr. Amit Goswami, Quantum Economics: Unleashing the Power of an Economics of Consciousness. Indeed, Goswami resurrects Adam Smith and revitalizes capitalism in such a way as to pave the road to a world free from extreme economic booms and busts, the widening and debilitating gap between the superrich and poverty stricken, and a vanishing middle class that was supposed to grow under capitalism.

Make no mistake, Goswami heartily supports profit motive, but not just defined or restricted by the values of scientific materialism, or their lack thereof. Based on the principles of quantum physics and what he calls the Science of Consciousness, Goswami calls for the creation and/or expansion of subtle, vital energy products as well – those that enhance the processing of meaning (as opposed to mere information processing), feelings, intuition, and the foundational archetypes that drive fulfillment of our higher ethical and spiritual needs as well as the growth of human capital.

Love over logic?! A must read!

I'm a sucker for love, so I knew I needed to check this out! So glad that I did! Such a great read with a mix of romance and humor! I read this book in one setting and couldn't put it down, for I was too anxious for the conclusion! A great and very unexpected ending!

Letting God heal you as you say Yes to Him.

I can't recommend this book and DVD enough, but let me try.

I thought I was off the hook when I started this book and DVD because for the first time in a very long time, my load is relatively light. I now work at home, I don't have any evening commitments except once a week. Just not a whole lot on my plate. Not throwing my "yes" around, no sir, not me!

Well, I wasn't very far in when the hook sunk in.

You know, God is the best "dot to dot"ter. He connects dots that He started a long time ago and He keeps connecting them. Even the ones we haven't thought about for awhile! In my case many of my dots began in childhood. They hurt. A lot. I didn't see sense in them at the time and didn’t for years. I was raised without a father for the first 15 years of my life and my mom used to tell me "God is your dad". In all honesty, I questioned God's parenting ability as He seemed to allow things in my life that I wouldn't have let happen to my kids. In "Your Sacred Yes", Susie invited me to revisit the places of battle in my past. Places it looked as though the enemy won; my innocence stolen from me, fear etched deeply on my heart long after bruises healed, fear of abandonment and feelings of low self worth long after the taunts and bullying was silenced. Big dots. In revisiting the places of battle, Susie encouraged me to look for the spoils. She says:
"We need to revisit our places of battle and find out what's true there because we are still standing. We made it through the battle. There are truths we can extract from that place. There are spoils I am carrying that I don't even know and the enemy doesn't get to have the last say either".
Dots were connected, more healing done, insight given to me and above all, a reminder that He, our beloved Creator, invites us to embrace that sacred Yes, dance the divine dance, and remember above all, that it's an invitation with no condemnation, no conditions, and even if we are too scared right now, His salvation is secure and solid, His love for us eternal.
But it's also a promise, a promise, that we will never regret saying Yes to Him because "we are the apple of His eye, the center of His heart, we're in the center of His circle and that's the only place we need to be. We're the object of His affection and He sings over us and cherishes us”. He frees us to say “Yes” to Him with no fear.

The dot-to-dot continues and will until I get Home and then, and only then will I see the magnificence of what He was connecting. And it will be glorious.

I could say so much more but then I'd be writing a book, about a book and well, that's not what this review is about.

The only warning about this book and DVD, don't read or watch while eating. It's hard to eat and cry at the same time.

A MUST READ for the hurried heart!

The DIVINE INSIGHT in Susie Larson's book "Your Sacred Yes" has been so penetrating to my heart and soul! I am quick to say "yes" to the demands of this world, requests upon requests can dismantle my heart and my ability to hear the prompting of God...which in turn leaves me spinning, doing many things...but not necessarily God appointed design in my day. When I am not following the heart of God in my day and in my decisions, frazzled days turn into fractured moments, which in turn, leaves my heart dry and unable to pour out into my family and friends, not to mention my own heart feeling depleted and discouraged. As it says in Susie's book, "It's so easy to give away our time to things un-appointed by God," and I so know that to be true. "I don't want to miss one thing the Lord has for me," again a quote and a riveting, compelling cry of my heart from "Your Sacred Yes." I don't want to miss His glory! And the insight and call from this book urges me to listen to the Lord, then respond to the business of the world. My heart is quieter already and I am grateful! Thank you Susie, for walking in intimacy with your Savior and in turn sharing that insight with us!!!

Sometimes I feel worn out from the pressure to say yes to commitments that feel more like obligations. She also incorporates Scripture to remind readers of their worth in Christ – value that is unconditional and not dependent on work, striving, or accomplishments. Larson emphasizes the importance of “looking up” instead of looking to the opinions of others; she stresses the eternal value of time spent with the Lord, dwelling on Scripture, praying often, and giving. She emphasizes how this intimate time with the Lord helps to ground and redirect during times of weariness, weakness or struggle.

Each chapter concludes with a written prayer, personal reflection questions, an excerpt from another writer, and group discussion questions. These extras help the readers to look at their own habits and, if read in a group setting, allow readers to hold each other accountable. Your Sacred Yes also includes information for how to obtain a free workbook, along with a few other resources (some free and some at cost).

Although it is categorized as Christian Living and Women’s Issues, men should not feel that Your Sacred Yes is only for women. Larson writes to both men and women, and many people would benefit from reading her words. Your Sacred Yes is filled with wisdom and encouragement. Reading through it one time did not feel like enough, so I look forward to reading Your Sacred Yes again, this time accompanied by the workbook!

About the Author

Chris Atkinson was a starving realtor before he began his network marketing career with Ambit Energy. Debbie was a Registered Nurse when she met Chris just two weeks prior to joining him in Ambit. In October, 2006, they began their network marketing career, which has allowed them both to retire from their previous jobs. Winners of the Thompson Leadership award, Impact award, Crystal Sphere award, People's Choice award twice, they have three sons, and live in Kemah, Texas.

Debbie Roy Atkinson was working two jobs, 60 hours a week as a Registered Nurse in a hospital emergency room. Her life changed forever when Chris Atkinson called to show her the Ambit Opportunity. Debbie recalls, "I told Chris I had no time to do this, but he wouldn't take no for an answer."

A "Must Read" for those seeking a "second chance".

I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it! It is an amazing story about how someone turned their life around. Despite addictions to alcohol and drugs, hopelessness and despair, through God's help and an amazing opportunity that came his way, Chris is now the #4 top income earner in a company that was ranked as the #1 fastest growing company in the nation. Debbie's story is equally amazing. She had worked two jobs as a RN nurse for over 10 years and had plans to continue this hectic way of life until she retired, but God had other plans for her. She and Chris are now multi-millionaires leading teams of thousands to do the same. If you know someone who thinks their life is over because of poor choices, put this book in their hand. It's Never Too Late: Creating the Life of Your Dreams is a fabulous book about taking your dreams to the next level. Not just dreaming but putting those dreams into actions. Knowing Chris and Debbie personally, I know Chris has had to overcome enormous obstacles. We can make excuses about our past, but when we do we hurt only ourselves. I know Debbie, being a single mom has had great trials as well. And to know both of them and where they have moved forward to in such a short time is living the American dream. No matter what your past, you can create a lifestyle and future you never thought could happen. Chris and Debbie are inspirational to all. Don't just dream your dreams. Make them happen. Thanks to Chris and Debbie for putting your past behind you and placing your dreams into reality.

Reflective, contemporary poetry that stays with you

"The Human Condition" is an introspective, engaging collection of poetry that pretty much anyone can relate to. We're all trapped by our cultures and traditions, our birthplace, our people. While a handful rise above to glory, the rest of us have to work hard for so little.

But even in our ruts there is the occasional triumph, like with 'A Day Off' where pretty girls and beer and a loud radio make everything bright for a little while. Or 'The Weather's Nice', a peaceful look at a rare, perfect day and the lifting of a weight from his mind.

Then back to the grind, with 'Poverty' 'Shower Me in Luck' is every person who has ever looked out that window and hoped for just one break or dreamed of a better life while faced with dead end jobs and bill collectors. Or "The Escapists', of dreams that will never come to pass.

It's a huge collection of reflective, contemporary poetry, many that will stick in your mind long after you've walked away.

Excellent! I skeptically read the first piece because I don't like reading poetry too much and I could not stop reading! His descriptions of every day life events were both simple and beautiful at the same time. I can actually visualize snippets of life he was describing as I was reading. Great read and awesome poet!
